The team at Purely Elated is so happy to share the great news from an organization that we have been supporting and cheering on, Her Song.
Her Song was established in 2013 to meet an overwhelming need. Literally thousands of young women and girls are trapped in a life of violence and exploitation right here, right now. Where do they go to find a way out? This is why Her Song exists.
Rachel White, M.A., LMHC, Founder and Executive Director of Her Song, had a vision to fulfill the urgent need for survivors of human trafficking to have a place to call home within a supportive, loving community while they take steps to reclaim their lives. Rachel says she believes these women are truly exceptional and she enjoys seeing women empowered to reach their potential.
“Survivors of human trafficking will move into a new home next month. Freedom Cottage is a transitional home in northeast Florida. Survivors living at the home will receive help getting back on their feet. The home is run by Her Song Jacksonville which helps survivors of human trafficking.”
Watch the video below all about the opening of Freedom Cottage. Also, remember that anytime you purchase Purely Elated products, you are helping support organizations and transitional housing like Freedom Cottage.
